You’re not a tree

“If you don’t like how things are, change it. You are not a tree.”

I took a liking recently to the quotes from Jim Rohn. At the risk of offending someone, I had never heard of Jim until a few months ago.

Thanks to the algorithm of Instagram, one of his quotes showed up, which was enough reason to do a little more research.

I added one of his other quotes to my website:

“Success is something you attract by the person you become.”

When you study his quotes and reflect on them a little more, they all have one common element.

It’s about taking ownership of your destiny and having the discipline to do what needs to be done to feel successful in life (and work).

It’s about showing up for yourself and others.

I dedicated a cue to ‘Showing up’ in my playbook, “10 Life-Changing Cues for Success and Significance.”

Primarily because you can prepare the best plans in the world, but if you don’t show up and execute them, they will be plans for the rest of your life.

Don’t get me wrong; I’m not pretending to be perfect here.
