I’m still learning
“There are no mistakes, only lessons.”
This quote is from Dennis Waitley, the author of many books but primarily known for his book “The Psychology of Winning.”
Mr. Waitley, now 91, is still going strong and renowned for his brilliant quotes. Here are three more you might recognize — though you may not have realized they originated with him.
“Expect the best, plan for the worst, and prepare to be surprised.”
“Learn from the past, set vivid, detailed goals for the future, and live in the only moment over which you have any control: now.”
“Expect the best, plan for the worst, and prepare to be surprised.”
As a learning professional, it’s impossible not to know about Dennis Waitley. He was passionate about the concept of now and the lessons learned from the past to embrace the future entirely.
Most of Waitley’s concepts involve time and how to deal with the past, the future, and the now.
He was known for saying that “life is not about the pursuit of happiness, but the happiness of pursuit.” Or, as I would rephrase it:
“Love the journey.”
